Each work of art starts with a wave of inspiration, it may come and go, but in the end there is a completed piece of art, telling a story from start to finish.

Below is a selection of images from my current ‘work in progress’.

It is a 60cm x 80cm canvas, with St George and the Dragon sketched in HB pencil. So far, only the dragon’s head has been completed, but it is in the works as we speak!

This painting references a drawing I completed a few years ago; a small, A4 drawing of St George and the Dragon, made up of multiple different angles and sketches of the original statues.

The third image, is the original drawing, completed in 2021.

‘Boats of Hoi An’

As seen here, is another acrylic canvas currently in the works.

It is based off an image I took whilst travelling SE Asia in 2024.

Hoi An, Vietnam, is well known for their lantern festivals and waterways, in which I spent Tết here, celebrating the Year of the Dragon.

The view of the water way, lit up by the lanterns and party goers was truly spectacular, resulting in me starting a painting to recreate this image!

The image I am recreating!
